There, he acquired knowledge from adept cocineros, notably a seasoned 70-year-old maestro who generously shared his perfected recipe. Presciliano harbored aspirations of crafting a renowned tequila, and with the maestro’s precious gift, he believed his aspiration could become a reality..
In 2010, Presciliano embarked on his journey to bring Picochulo to life. He put his life’s savings into action, procuring his initial 10-acre plot which boasted 15,000 agave plants. The maestro, in his last three weeks before retirement, guided Presciliano through the intricate process at the distilleries, culminating in the creation of the Picochulo brand and the realization of his long-held dream with the birth of the inaugural bottle.
